Peach Roses in Spring

Surprise! I have a new treat for ya'll that I've been working on. Lately, I've been really into hand written letters, both writing and sending them! Not only would I spend time with my handwriting and what I have to say, but i used special paper and packaged them neatly. And after all that work I put into my letter, the plain white envelope I was slipping it into just didnt do it justice.

So I thought to myself, if I were to receive a beautiful, hand written letter in the mail, how would I like for it to appear? Well, I developed a design for envelopes to stay together well, and have spent many days and night hand dyeing special paper.

With hundreds of new papers, I am ready to get stamping. I went out to a warehouse in L.A. and found a sale with hundreds of great stamps for a steal!!! I wish I had the time to take pictures so you could see how many options you have to chose from, but here's a few sneak peaks.

All these stamps you see done here can be used on tags as well, which I store bought and hand dyed. All envelopes are available in sets of 10 for only $6.50, or 20 for $12.00. Included in that are the number of tags with the stamp of you're choice and a sheet with vintage velvet lined seals for ideal closure!!!

Many more to come, so please be sure to drop by my etsy shop here!
*****ENVELOPES AND ETC. NOT LISTED YET******
If you want to order any, let me know and I'll start listing them
I like to post here and get some feedback first, you understand =]

Hope you all had a great holiday weekend! Valentines day was a sweet one over here, hubby woke me up with the usual backrub, but since it's Valentines I got a full body rub including feet =] I had been talking about how I wanted to eat more cultural foods recently, and I don't like breakfast in bed for 2 reasons. 1. I am never hungry until at least 2 hours after I wake up and 2. I love cooking with my man! With that being said, he romantically made plans for us to learn how to make crepes together! And to put it over the top we got strawberry syrup and fresh strawberries.

He actually had to work that day....=[ sad I know. But when he came home he definitely made up for it! We had bratwurst for dinner and he came home with a giant bouquet of valentines flowers and yummy chocolates along with my favorite wine. Oh did I say A bouquet of flowers? I meant two, he topped it off with peach roses!!!

For presidents day we enjoyed delicious Thai food before our adventure through the local botanical gardens, so gorgeous! We topped it off with a movie night and saw Paranormal Activity with sweetheart steak and organic potatoes for dinner. Let's say I'm a happy girl. Tell me about you're Valentines Day!

The Blog is Back!

OH EM GEE!!!! I have been gone sooo long- since Halloween in October!!!
But now I'm back with TONS of new goodies and fun pictures.
First off, I'm opening my etsy shop back up and over the course of the next few weeks I'll be adding more sweet treats, but if you see anything here you want to grab up before it's listed I can reserve it for you =]

I've been having so much fun with the lastest crafting craze- coffee filters. All are hand dyed and come in sets of 30, measuring 8 inches in diameter. They are perfect for collage designs, flower making, garlands and right in time for Valentines Day!!! I will have these available in my shop soon in a variety of colors such as Rose Pink, Robin's Egg Blue, Lemon Sherbet, and Lavendar Plum. If you would like a colored not yet listed please feel free to contact me. I couldn't figure out how to put my etsy back up on the sidebar so here's the link =]

And of course I am still expanding my ever growing collection of Antique Cabinet Cards. I have tons of everything in different shapes, sizes, genders, and events. Always happy to help someone find what they're looking for. I just adore all the intricate work done on the back.

The Hubby and I are planning a trip down to San Diego soon and we are so excited to have our first vacation in way too long. I havent quite decided yet what we are going to do down there other than sight see; of course I already have tickets to the San Diego Zoo and Sea World.

Being my first time back in so long, I could really use some lovin'!

I could totally go for one or two more participants but we're not gonna let that falter us!!!
Right now we're swapping with 9 other women. I made 12 tags because that what we we're aiming for and though we haven't made it there yet, it's better to have extra than not enough =]

No need to fret though- If you don't have time or arent doing a second character tag you can simply make it up to you're partner by gifting them a few "Alice style" sweet treats in their package. You can do either of these just make sure it's so cute it's something you'd want to receive in the mail. Nothing to overboard-keep it simple. Maybe some lovely trinkets, or an inspirational card.

Now that that's cleared up, I know a lot of lovely ladies have a LOT of questions and that's what I'm here for so don't be afraid to ask!!!

Right now is the time I need you to contact me at le_vintage@yahoo.com and provide me with:
1. First and last name
2. Mailing address
3. Official characters you'll be working on
4. Confirmation you will be prepared by October 5.

Don't forget it doesn't matter what version of Alice you use- be creative. There's the original book, the Disney movie, the upcoming Tim Burton movie, the video game version, unique drawing and artwork and tons of other Alice and Wonderland interpretations.

Thanks for participating and don't forget to take a deep breathe and relax- this is all about the fun!
